Charles Trottier Called By Death
Charles Trottier, grandfather of Oscar L. Provost, passed away at the home of his grandson here on April 18, at 2:30 p.m. Death was attributed to Cardiac decompensation. At the time of his death Mr. Trottier was 96 years, 3 months and 27 days old.
The deceased had, for the past nine years, made his home here with his grandson, O.L. Provost. Prior to that time he had resided in Michigan.
Charles Trottier was born December 21, 1840 in Gentilly, Canada. He was married to Edmise Paison(Elmire Poisson) on July 15, 1862, who preceeded him in death in 1901.
Surviving are five children: Romeo and Hector Trottier of Moonbeam, Ontario; Mrs. F. X. Provost, Crosby; William Trottier, Marquette, Mich.; Mrs. Joseph Vidal, Montreal, Canada. 33 grandchildren, 70 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren also survive.
Internment was in Republic, Michigan.
Those who attended the funeral were Mrs. F.X. Provost, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Provost and family of Crosby; Mrs. A.E. Romain, Mrs. Frank Paige and Miss Agnes Romain of Minneapolis; Mrs.Jack Kohanek of Remer.
