Mr. Kunza was born May 23, 1921, in Cheyenne, Wyo., a son of Frank and Anna Grosephan Kunza.
He married Loretta Frances Brown on April 7, 1943, in St. Louis. She passed away on June 4, 2000.
Survivors include two sons, Denny R. (Vickie) Kunza and Dale E. Kunza, both of Mahomet; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) Overocker of Texas, Todd (Jennifer) Kunza of North Carolina, Octovia Kunza of Florida and Dale E. Kunza Jr. of Mahomet; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Kunza was proud to have served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, after which he became a Teamster truck driver and a member of Local 26.
He enjoyed following sports and was an avid Cubs and Illini fan.
