He was a Butcher by trade. known as 'Edward'- he and his brother Greer shipped cattle up to Dawson City during the Klondike Gold Rush - they were butchers and made a decent living. Greer and Edward were on their way home to Quebec - Edward suffered from depression - and he took his life in the hotel in Whitehorse.
