Mrs. Gelany Hogmire, 84, mother of Mrs. Azur Sweet and Mrs. George Borst of Hartford, died Friday at the home of her son, Roy Hogmire, in Kalamazoo, where she had resided for some time. Her death followed several weeks of illness resulting from a fall. She was born in New York state but came to this section with her parents when very young. She was the widow of the late David Hogmire, and for many years they were well known residents of Lawrence. Besides her son and daughters, she leaves a brother, William Slocum of Lawrence. Mrs. Hogmire was a member of the Methodist church. Funeral services for her were held Sunday at the Thompson funeral home in Lawrence, the Rev. Wallace P.
