Frieda Ida Wilhelmina (Witzke) Slusher
Frieda (Witzke) Slusher, 85, of Dover, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2008, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City.
Frieda was born on Jan. 31, 1923, in Hartford, Conn., the daughter of Gustav and Ottilie (Schilke) Witzke. Frieda married Elliott Madison Slusher on July 3, 1943, at Christ Lutheran Church in Hartford.
Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Roger Slusher and his wife, Sandra, of Lexington, and Morgan Slusher of Washington, D.C.; one daughter and son-in-law, Sally Nadler and her husband, Glen, of Wellington; three grandchildren, Jason Nadler and his wife, Kera, of Seattle, Shelly Nieweg and her husband, Todd, of Bates City, and Chad Nadler and his wife, Angela, of Kansas City and two great-granddaughters, Sydney and Megan Nieweg.
Her parents, her brother Henry, and her sisters, Ruth and Dorothy, preceded her in death.
The family would appreciate memorials be made to the Dover Christian Church or the Slusher Cemetery Association.
Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 8, at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 9, at the Dover Christian Church. Burial will be in the Slusher Cemetery, eight miles east of Lexington.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington.
