Martha moved from home to Upson County, Georgia to teach school. She met Dr. Richard Olive and they were married in Upson County on 19 November 1848. She, Richard & their daughter, Elizabeth Matilda Olive, returned to Siloam, Green County, Georgia and joined the Baptist Church by letter on 30 August 1850. After Richard's death, she married (2nd) Early Wyatt Thrasher. Martha and Early moved to Florida in 1876. They purchased orange groves from Judge G. W. Means and lived a few years inside of Marion County in the Evinston community. After Early's death (28 December 1879) Martha and the chilfren who were still living at home, purchased a large home in Micanopy on Tuscawulla Road, just behind the Baptist Church.
