One of Marlow's early pioneers, Mrs. Amanda Augusta Hall, 90, died from a stroke at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday following an illness of a week. She was in the home of one of her daughters, Mrs. L. B. Lowery, Paducah, Tex., where she had lived for the past year.
The Indian Territory settler was born March 10, 1861 in Neosho, Mo., to John Stanfield and Rachael Campbell. She was married to Isaac Heaton Hall in Springtown, Tex., Dec 26, 1877. He preceded her in death in 1929. The family moved to Marlow in 1902.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday in the Church of Christ of which she was a member. The minister, Joe Laird assisted by Marvin McKeever will officiate. Arrangements are in charge of Callaway Smith Funeral Home directors. Grandsons will serve as bearers with burial in Marlow Cemetery.
Survivors are four daughters and three sons. They are Mrs. Lowery of Paducah; Mrs. Maude Allen of Talleson, Ariz.; Mrs Eula Byrd of Chickasha; Miss Mary E. Hall of Norman, E.P. Hall of Wichita, Kan., and J.P. and Herman Hall of Marlow. Twenty grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren also survive.
Additional survivors are two sisters and two brothers. They are Mrs Ada Pearce, Marlow; Mrs. Emma Hendricks, Munday, Tex.; S.P. Campbell, Springtown, Tex.; and Willie Campbell, Phoenix, Ariz.
