He was born August 6th, 1918 in Ste. Genevieve, the son of Edward and Helen (Grieshaber) Geiler, who both preceded him in death.
He married Vera Geiler. She survives in Lebanon.
He is also survived by two sons and daughters in law, Robert and Linda Geiler of St. Louis and Paul and Brenda Geiler of Kansas City; two daughters and a son in law, Mary Geiler of St. Louis and Paula and Byron Chaon of Jacksonville, Florida; two stepsons, Karl Seiler of Hilo, Hawaii and Eddie Seiler of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; a stepdaughter, Rene Seiler of Denver Colorado; a brother and sister in law, Edward "Mitz" and June Geiler of Ste. Genevieve; a sister, Vernetta Oster of Denver, Colorado; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Bertha (Basler) Geiler and a brother, Milford Geiler.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, August 12th at the Church of Ste. Genevieve.
A funeral for 90-year-old August W. "Gus" Geiler of Lebanon, formerly of Ste. Genevieve, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 12th at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Raymond Oge will officiate.
Burial will be in Valle Spring Cemetery.
