He is survived by his wife Camille (Mazza) Compton Solie, two sons, Terence Selmer (Karen) Solie of Wayne, Illinois, Bruce Lloyd Solie of Divide, Colorado, a step-son, Todd Compton of Mount Vernon, a step daughter, Cammie (Chris) Roark of Centerville, Ohio, nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and loving friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Eleanor (Neichter) Solie and nine brothers and sisters.
Friends may call on Friday from 1 to 2 PM at the Strunk Funeral Home, 916 17th Street, Vero Beach, Florida 32960. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 2 PM. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach, Florida.
