Born near Archer, Nebraska. Married Mildred Louise Suck on June 23, 1926, at Palmer. They farmed in several central Nebraska communities and alos at McRae, Arkansas from 1954 to 1958 after which they returned to the Archer and Central City areas farming until their retirement. He enjoyed raising Belgian horses, llama, buffalo and exotic birds and hosted field trips for school children. Like giving his grandchildren sleigh and wagon rides. He gave sleigh and wagon rides at Stuhr Museum.
Survived by sons, Jack, Oren, Wendell and Cecil and daughters, Leota, Delores and Arlene.
Preceded in death by a son Lloyd.
