Mr. Linville, 82, Saint Joseph, died Monday, October 24, at Leavenworth VA, Leavenworth, Kansas.

He was born in Plainview, Texas to Virgil Emmett and Marian Vaughn Linville.

He married Verna Darlene Spain May 28, 1956. He was a fireman for the City of Plainview, worked at Stockton Cheese Plant and then started Emmett's Appliance Repair. He served in the U.S. Army from January 1953-December 1955 as a radio operator.

Survivors include three daughters, Darla Schuchman of Branson, Donna Slyter and husband John of Republic and Barbara Barrymore of the home; his siblings, Helen Sharp and husband Ron of Grandbury, Texas, Floyd LInville and wife Jean of Lubbock, Texas, Marilyn Helms and husband Tom of Paris, Texas and Larry Linville of Plainview, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Verna; a daughter, Tressa Brandell; his parents; and siblings, Jimmie Joyce Linville, Doyle Ralph Linville, Mary Jo Harvey, Linda Breckenridge, Lloyd Linville, Jerry Linville, and Everett Linville.

Services are 11 a.m. Saturday, November 12, at the Alder Church in Stockton, MO.
