JOSEPH C. McEWEN, 87, of Memphis, died August 11, 2008. He was a retired master sergeant with the United States Air Force and a long time member of the Lewis and Singleton Community Centers. Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his wife, Iris McEwen, and is survived by two daughters, Sheryl Olsen of Greensboro, GA, and Keverne Lister of Albuquerque, NM; three sons, Joel McEwen of Loganville, GA, Randall McEwen of Collierville, and Perry McEwen of Arlington; one sister, Nellie Hammer of Forrest City, AR; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Family Funeral Care. Burial, with military honors, will be Friday at 1 p.m. in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
