HODGE, Naomi Misao (Onga)
Of Sacramento, passed away at her home on August 3, 2008, at the age of 69, after a six-month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ida Onga, brother Bill Onga, and sister Irene Takeda and is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Donald, children Michelle (Scott) Bello and Chris (Katie) Hodge, two beloved and cherished granddaughters, Danielle Bello and Brynley Hodge, grandson Elijah Gaea, brother Ray (Shizu) Onga, sisters Elaine (Lloyd) Ando, Jane (Joe) De Giovanni, brother-in-law Jim Takeda, many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. After graduating from Sacramento State and a short career as a lab technician at Sutter Memorial Hospital, Naomi spent many years as the library clerk and a volunteer at Frontier Elementary School. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on August 23, 2008, at East Lawn Mortuary, 5757 Greenback Ln., Sacramento, with a reception to follow. Memorial donations in her name may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 2141 Rosecrans Ave., Ste 7000, El Segundo, CA 90245. Wife, mom, sister, auntie, and friend you will be forever missed and always loved.
