At her death in 1873 at the age of 54 years, Elizabeth Goodwin Smith was survived by her husband, Seaborn Smith; her four sons, John P. Smith and his wife, Nancy J. Beard Smith; William H. Smith, Seaborn T. Smith, and J. Monroe Smith, all were living in Polk County; and her six daughters, Mrs. Sarah Ellen Smith Brock, Mrs. Rebecca Jane Smith Coker and her husband, Rev. Lenard F. Coker; Miss Dollie Smith, Miss Frances "Pinkie" Smith, Miss Nancy E. "Bettie" Smith, and Miss Dorcas E. "Missie" Smith, all of whom were living in Polk County, Texas. Elizabeth Smith was also survived by 8 grandchildren.
