George W. Kimberlin, 73-yo, Gray-Ballard-Sorrells Chapel, retired railroad engineer, passed away Monday 6:45 in the evening after an illnes of six weeks, Rev. James Riley of Paris will conduct the services, burial in Forest Park cemetery, 6 regular pallbearers, 3 honorary, born Richmond, Lee County, Virginia, 4 Sep 1877, son of John Kimberlin and Minerva Kimberlin, came to Texas 1901 to Collin County, farmed for 7 years, came to Greenville entered the railway service, 11 years a fireman, then promoted to locomotive engineer, retired Nov. 1949 after 40 years of railway service, Baptist church member, IOOF lodge, Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers
1898 married Miss Dovie Angel in Virginia, she died in 1912 after they moved to Greenville, he married Nora Mable Williams in 1915, she survives
seven sons:
Walter T. Kimberlin, of Des Moines, Iowa
Raymond G. Kimberlin of Sweetwater
Hobart C. Kimberlin
Albert S. Kimberlin
Elbert Kimberlin, and
Bobby Kimberlin of Greenville, and
Richard Kimberlin of Sacramento, California
two daughters:
Mrs. S.M. Nichols and
Mrs. R.G. Rudd of Greenville
two brothers:
John Kimberlin of Ropeville, and
Charles Kimberlin of Duncan, Okla.
and two sisters (unamed):
