Clarence Aubrey Ridenour, son of John L. and Minnie L. Ridenour, was born in Muscatine county, Iowa, on Sept. 18th, 1906, and died Oct. 1st, 1910. The little spirit took its flight from this earth to dwell with Jesus, who said, "Suffer little children to come unto Me, and forbid them not, for such is the Kingdom of Heaven." He was a bright and loveable child, and will be greatly missed by his father, mother, brother and sister, and all who knew him.
"There is a lone and empty chair,
Shoes and stockings on the floor;
And the little feet that pressed them,
They are gone forever more.
They have left us like Spring flowers,
Faded from our sight away;
And we never more shall see them,
Until the Judgment day.
He is happy with the angels,
He was born for their sweet care;
Thus mid Heavenly rest and pleasures
With no sorrow there."
The funeral services were held at the home conducted by Rev. Wooten, pastor of Friends Church at Springdale, Iowa.
