Conrad Almroth, 64, died at his home north of Elliston Saturday night May 25, about 9pm of Bright's Disease and complications. He had been ill a long time.

The funeral services were held at Zion Evangelical Church, Eliiston, Tuesday afternoon, the Rev L H Nauman, pastor of the church, officiating and interment in Elliston Cemetery.

Mr. Almroth was born in a log house on the present homestead September 17, 1870 and after his marriage to Miss Clara Wilke on April 6, 1900, he continued to make his home on the homestead, though the log house had been replaced about 1895 by the brick house in which he died.

His entire 64 years were, therefore, spent on the old homestead which is now occupied by his eldest son, Clarence and family.

He became a member of the Elliston church at the age of 14 and for many years was director of the church choir. He, also, had been conductor of the Elliston band and at the time of his death was a trustee of Benton Twp.

His wife died in 1905 but he is survived by his two sons, Clarence at home and Lester of Toledo; also three brothers, Henry, John and George, all of Toledo; and two sisters, Mrs Fred Hellwig and Mrs Kate Hellwigm both of Toledo. A brother William preceded him in death.
