Willis H. Parsons died July 21, 1901 in Stanford, Lincoln County, KY at age 60. He was a devout member of the Methodist Church, an honorable gentleman and a clever man. He was formerly from Rockcastle County, but had lived in Lincoln county for a number of years where he was universally liked. He was survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Underwood Parsons and seven children. After services at the Methodist church by Rev. W. E. Arnold, the remains were taken to Buffalo Springs Cemetery and laid to rest. From The Interior Journal, Stanford, KY July 23, 1901.
