Funeral services for Carroll Lietsch were conducted at
Christ Lutheran Church,Davenport, last Friday
afternoon. He died Tuesday, Jan. 11, at the age of 80 years.

Carroll Herman Lietsch was born Feb. 5,1896, at Burlington,
Iowa, the son of Herman and Pauline Ita Lietsch.

He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church.

He was married to Nellie Margaret Linsley and to this
union was born one daughter, Tresa.

June 8,1935, he was married to Edna Margarethe Holst.

He was a member of the Davenport American Legion
and the Nuckolls County Barracks.

Survivors are his wife, Edna; daughter, Mrs. Warren Voss
(Tresa); three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren;
sister, Mrs. Roy Avers; and a brother, Lauren Lietsch.

The Rev. James R. Sassman officiated at the services. Full
military rites were conducted by the Davenport American
Legion. Burial was in the Edgar Cemetery.

The Urbauer Funeral Home of Davenport was in charge of arrangements.
