Mr. D. M. Fible Passes Away
Suddenly at Martinsville, Indiana


Mr. D. M. Fible, senior member of the firm of Fible & Crabb, distillers and liquor dealers at Eminence, died at 5 o'clock yesterday morning, in his room at a hotel in Martinsville, Indiana. His death was rather sudden, but was caused form internal injuries received at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, several weeks ago.

Mr. Fible was well known in Louisville, where he resided for a number of years. He moved with his family to Chicago some three years ago, where he resided up to the time of his death. He was born near Eminence, in Henry County, sixty-three years ago. Mr. Fible was well known in Louisville and had many friends here. Although senior member of he firm, Mr. Fible was on the road the greater part of the time, and looked after the Northern and Western trade of his firm. He was out on one of his trips when he met his death.

Mr. Fible leaves a widow and two daughters, one married, all of whom are living in Chicago. He was the father of Micajah Fible. The remains will be shipped from Martinsville to his home in Chicago for burial.

D. M. Fible, of Louisville, Ky., died at the Mason House Tuesday morning about 5 o'clock. About 4 weeks ago, Mr. Fible was injured while riding in a bus at Petersburg, this state. He continued on to this city and his injury resulted in dropsy. He was also with asthma and since has suffered from the two diseases until his death this morning. Mr. Fible was about 65 years of age. His home was in Louisville, where he has a wife and child living. He also has a daughter in Chicago. Mr. Fible was very wealthy. He was a partner in the large Fible & Crabb distillery company, and for many years has done the traveling through this section for the firm. Martinsville was his favorite place and on each trip he would spend several days here. He has many friends in this city, and his death is regretted by all. The remains were shipped Wednesday to Eminence, Ky., for burial.

The remains of the late D. M. Fible were taken to Eminence, Ky, this morning for burial. Elder Treat conducted impressive ceremonies in the Mason House and a body of Martinsville business men and citizens conducted the body to the I & V Depot. A H Hudson, a partner in the distilling business with Mr. Fible, accompanied the remains to their last resting place in Kentucky.
