HENRY MORTIER

Henry C. "Hank" Mortier, 65, of 521 21st Ave, Moline, died Saturday at his home after an extended illness.

Services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline; and 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moline. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island, Arsenal.
Visitation is after 2 p.m. today. The Catholic Order of Foresters, Sacred Heart Court 1691, will recite a rosary at 6 p.m., and a public rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made o Alleman High School, Rock Island; St. Mary's Catholic Church; or Katie Larson Memorial Fund.
Mr. Mortier was employed 29 years at the Coca-Cola Bottling Works, Rock Island, and later worked 20 years for Standard Forwarding Co., East Moline, retiring in 1980.

He married Mary Van Nieuwenhuyse in 1938 in Rock Island.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, and a member Moline Elks 556; Friends Circle Club; Catholic Order of Foresters, Court 1691; and St. Mary's Catholic Church. He also served as an usher at the church for many years.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Michael, Pittsburgh, and William, Rock Island; two grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Mildred) Fuller, Mrs. Edward (Henrietta) Schmitt and Mrs. Wilbur (Grace) Johnson, all of Rock Island; and brothers, George and Arthur, both of Moline.
