MRS. ROSIE STOWERS ADKINS, 84, of Hager, died Thursday evening at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Glen Adkins of Hager, after a long illness. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Koontz Funeral Home of Hamlin by the Rev. Russell Adkins, Rev. Ebb Cummings and the Rev. Elijah Adkins. Burial was in the Adkins Cemetery at Hager. She was born Sept. 29, 1882, in West Virginia, a daughter of the late Floyd and Mary Susan Stowers. Her husband Alphus Adkins, died several years ago. Other survivors include another daughter, Miss Della Adkins of Hager; two sons, Odus Adkins of Switzer and Kelley Adkins of Hamlin; two sisters, Mrs. Wirt McComas of Hamlin and Mrs. Joe Holley of Hager; three brothers, Fulton Stowers of Palermo, and Clifford and Frank Stowers of Hager; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Note: Her husband Alphus was a son of James Willis Adkins and Elizabeth Burns.
