Ambrose Adkins, seventy-seven years old, died at his home at Hager, at 3:15 p.m. Monday. Funeral Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the residence with the Elder Glen Sharp and the Elder Ernest Sharp of Huntington officiating. Burial followed in Adkins Cemetery at Hager. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Fronie Shelton of West Hamlin, Mrs. Mae McKinney of Grayson, KY, Mrs. Monnie Honaker of Hager; five sons, Audrie Adkins of Sweetland, Thelley Adkins of Smiths Ferry Pa., and Warren, Hillard and Coney Adkins at Hager; two brothers, Moss Adkins of Hamlin and Walker Adkins of Hager, and four sisters, Mrs. Tiney Tounley of Omar, Mrs. Rusha Adkins of Hamlin, Mrs. Lillie Cooper of Bernie, and Mrs. Rhoda Adkins of Hager. The body was taken from the Johnson-Koontz Funeral Home at Hamlin at 2 P.M. Tuesday.

Note: He was preceded in death by his parents, James Willis Adkins and Elizabeth Burns, and two wives; Arbelle Gallimore and Charlotte Plumley.
