Reverend Noel C. Jones, age 84, of Lamar, Arkansas died Wednesday, December 7,
2005 at St. Edward's Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was
veteran of the Army and served in WWII, was a member of the Eastern Star, was a
Mason at Belle Grove #410, and was a member of the Freewill Baptist church of
Clarksville. He was preceded in death by his parents Noah H. and Alpha Mae
Allison Jones and 1 sister, Lucille Steel.
Survivors include 2 sons, Gary Jones of Midwest City, Oklahoma, and Michael
Jones of Marion, Illinois; 3 daughters, Marilyn Johnston of Fort Smith,
Arkansas, Brenda Burcham of Denver, Colorado, and Paula Langley of Eureka,
California; 1 sister, Ernastine Tumbleson of Clarksville, Arkansas; 3 brothers,
Noah Jones of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Joe Jones of Salyer, California, and
Wayne Jones of Mayfield, Kansas; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 A.M. Friday, December 16, 2005 at the
Roller Cox Funeral Home chapel with the Reverend Amos Pledger officiating.
