Gary loved the outdoors, he loved to go hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed farming and ranching, and not to forget his love for fast cars.
Gary is survived by daughter, Karrie Jo Holmes (Jerry L. Mobley); son, Garry Lewis Holmes (Tina); brothers, Ernest (Linda) Holmes, Dwayne (LeAnn) Holmes, Doyle (Tammy) Holmes; sisters, Marva (Wendell) Mathison, Leora Stewart, Karlee (Phil) Boyles; seven grandchildren, Jessica Jacobsen, Dakotah Holmes, Curt (Penny) Mobley, Chrissy (Steve) Harp, Renae Simonson, Jamie Harris, Heath (Jackie) Mobley; and nine great-grandchildren, Dalton Skidmore, Abigail Jacobsen, Kyile Ann Harp, Aden Harris, Blaine Harp, Taylor Simonson, Jaryn Cooper, Alan Mobley and Cynthia Mobley.
Gary is preceded in death by parents and two nephews, Christopher Stewart and Justin Holmes.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Aug. 7, at 9 a.m. at Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. Friends and family may call Wednesday, Aug. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary and one hour prior to the services. Interment will take place at the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
