John C. Harris was my great grandfather. He was the son of John Harris and Sarah Guttery. John C. married Mandy Catherine Freeman/McCombs about 1877. They moved to Tahlequah Indian Territory, (Oklahoma) in late 1890's. I've located them in the 1900 census in Tahlequah. They were in Polk or Pope County Arkansas in 1895.
John and Mandy had 3 sons, Augusta "Otto", Arthur Oscar and Charles "Charley" Lee Harris. We were told they had a daughter named Rhoda or maybe even Bonnie and perhaps another son, Roy or Robert.
We have no clue where or when John and Mandy died but were told they lived and are buried somewhere in Tahlequah, Cherokee County, Oklahoma.
