Cora Griffin Aldrich was born July 1, 1872 at Marcellon she resided with her parents in Marcellon until 1888. Then she taught school for 2 years. In 1890 she married Carroll Aldrich of Marcellon. They bought a farm in Marcellon and resided there until 1914 when they moved to a farm they had purchased in Auburndale WI. Mr. and Mrs, Aldrich had five children three sons and two daughters four of whom are living. One son Harry died a year ago.
Mrs. Aldrich had been in poor health for several years and in January of last year her illness became serious. She passed away in a hospital in Madison on Saturday April 23, 1932 aged 60 years, 9 months and 23 days. There remains to mourn their loss, her husband Carroll Aldrich, two sons Alvin of Auburndale and Ralph of Orton Grove Ill. and two daughters, Ethel of Rockford Ill and Alice of Peshaston, State of Washington, two brothers Herbert and Cyrus Griffin, one sister Mrs. Arley Whittingham, and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Pardeeville M.E. church on Tuesday April 26th, Rev. F.W. Wright officiating. Burial was in the Pardeeville Cem
