Mr. Bridges died at 6:40 a.m. Thursday at Western Baptist Hospital. He was formerly employed by Southside Auto Parts and retired from McCaskill Auto Parts. He was a member of Bible Baptist Heartland Worship Center.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Lora Dean (Cunningham) Bridges; two daughters, Linda Parish of Louisville and Flora Smith of Reidland; four sons, Walter E. Bridges and Jerry D. Bridges, both of Reidland, Lanny M. Bridges of Senatobia, MS, and Rodger A. Bridges of Kevil; two sisters, Barbara McBride of Orleans, IN., and Frieda Sumner of Cadiz; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death one brother, Ira C. Bridges, Jr., and his parents Ira C. and Flo (Bridges) Bridges.
