Funeral services for Georgia Kirkham Godwin, 93, of Jonesboro were held March 4 at the Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joey Bignar officiating. Burial followed in the Strange Cemetery.
Mrs. Godwin died Feb. 28 at the North Monroe Medical Center.
Born May 22, 1908 in Readhimer, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lee Melton Godwin, Sr.; and two sons, Joe David Godwin and wife Dorothy Godwin and Arnold Lee Godwin.
She is survived by daughters, Evelyn Adams and husband Bill of Coushatta, Gloria Dixon and husband George of Homer, Kay Dixon and Husband Bill of Shreveport, Delma Nunn and husband Othel of Jonesboro and Betty White of Monroe; son, Lee M. Godwin, Jr. of Pineville; 23 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
