Obituary
Sister Margaret Ray, daughter of James (Correction: Her father was Christopher Rail "Kit") and Eva Shockey Maynard, was born September 9, 1841. She was married to Richard Stanley, who preceded her in death. Later she married Joseph Ray. To these two unions were born 15 children. Eight of these children preceded her in death, and seven are still living. They are Melvin, Mont, John, Richard. L. “Dick,”, Vicy, Harrison, and Pricy. Sister Ray joined the Regular Baptist Church about fifty years ago, and took fellowship with the old Apple Orchard Church. Later she moved her fellowship to the Pilgrim Home Church of Regular Baptist and was a faithful member until her death on May 9, 1942. At the age of 101 years, she fell asleep in Christ, to rest from her labors.
