Mrs. Mamie Sanders Deverell of Stanton, widow of F. K. Deverell, a farmer and landowner, died at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon in Baptist Hospital following an illness of three weeks. She was 82. Mrs. Deverell lived all of her life in Tipton County. She as a member of the Charleston Baptist Church. Services were held at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon in the Charleston Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Naylor officiating. Burial was in the Charleston Cemetery with Maley Funeral Home in charge. She leaves three daughters, Mrs. F. G. Ralph of Memphis and Mrs. Rob Bourne and Mrs. Nickey Davis, both of Stanton; two brothers, Jesse M. Sanders and Walter Sanders, both of Covington; a sister, Miss Mattie Sanders of Covington; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren."
