CHRISTESON cHAPEL WITH FORNEY McGeehee and Tim Carlson
Offciating. Burial will be in the Alpena Cemetery under
the direction of Christeson Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 3--5 P.M. Sun.Feb.4. Memorials may
be made to the Mike Forney Scholarship Fund C/O Alpena
School 403 Denver, Alpena, Ark.
The son of the late Ceaf Parker and Bess Sadie Dabbs
Forney was born Oct.9,1919 at Capps.
A lifelong resident of Boone Co. he was a farmer and
trader and a veteran of W.W.11.
He enjoyed playing dominoes and truly enjoyed Catfishing.
He was very active in the Domocratic Party, locally,
Statewide, and Nationally.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary
lea Porter Forney, A son Mike Forney and 5 brothers, Ted,
Newel, Homer, Cecil and Barker.
He is survived by a daughter-in-law Mary Ellen Forney of
Alpena, A grandson Mike Allen Forney 11 of Alpena. two
Grand daughters, Ellen Anne Moran and her husband Adriel,
and Molli Su Forney, both of Alpena, A great grandson Ian
Moran of Alpena, A great grand daughter Jewel Moran of
Alpena; two sisters Frances Mozelle Williams of Calif.
and Mildred Maxine Boles of Mass.
And 3 brothers Billy Joe Forney of Capps, Robert Dean Forney
of Harrison, and Mitchel Forney of Calif.
Pallbears will be Levi Phillips, Mark Widner, James Bailey
Ronald Ward, Kenny Studyvin and Jerry Youngblood.
