John Walker (Sr.) was born in Ireland. He went to Bucks Co. PA. with his parents (Wm. and Ana) and 4 siblings about 1724. John and 3 of his siblings moved to Craig's Scotch-Irish Settlement as some of the founders 1728., in Allen Township, Northampton Co, PA. He served as a soldier in the Provincial affairs during the French & Indian War. He provided grain for the colonial army in 1776. He had ties to the affairs with Northampton Co. He was married to Mary Ann (Blackburn). They had 5 children: (1) William (1746-1804) who inherited his Uncle Richard Walker's land in Bucks County, under intestate laws, being the eldest son of the eldest brother. (2) Jane Walker married Cpt. John Hays, (3) Ann Walker married Col. Joseph Grier, (4) Mary Ann married Robert Lattimore,(5)John, Jr. married Mary Darrah.
