East Palestine Mrs. Rhea J. "Toots" Robson, 77, of 66 South Washington St., passed away early Thursday morning at her residence.

Toots was born July 30, 1930, a daughter of the late Edward and Hazel Kennedy Gotthardt, and had resided in East Palestine since moving here in 1949. She had at one time done the books for the family business, Robson & Sons Plumbing and Heating, and late assisted with the local license plate registrar.

Her husband, Joseph E. "Buzz" Robson, whom she married January 23, 1949, preceded her in death November 15, 1988, as had three brothers.

She is survived by three daughters, Lynn (Michael) Reed and Jeanne L. (Robert) Lalley, both of East Palestine, and Wendy Robson, Columbiana.. Toots also leaves a brother, Gary Gotthardt, Darlington, PA; five grandchildren, Jennifer Fahs, Chris Herriott, Jaime Herriott, Melissa Slagle, and Joe Springer; and six great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, with Rev. Mark McTrustry, of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the time of service.
