Daughter of CF McGlashan. In 1900 with she is living with her parents in Truckee, CA. She married George Kelley c Aug 1909, and in 1910 they are found living in household of her parents in Truckee. By the census of 1920, she and her family are living at 1281 2nd Ave., San Francisco. the family includes her husband, George and two children, George M., 9 and Douglas, age 7. Mrs. June L. Kelley was Well Known Lawyer
Mrs. June L. Kelley, daughter of C.F. McGlashan, early Truckee historian, died at her San Francisco home Saturday. Funeral services were held in Berkeley Monday.
Mrs. Kelley, 75, was one of the first women admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court. After her marriage to Dr. George F. Kelley, she conducted a law partnership wit her husband in Truckee until 1919 when they moved to San Francisco. Their son, Dr. Douglas Kelley, is a professor of criminology at the University of California.
Mrs. Kelley was the versatile daughter of a versatile father. While McGlashan was chiefly known as editor and publisher of the Truckee Republican, he was also a lawyer. He took his daughter as partner in the legal business in 1903, shortly after her graduation from Hastings College of Law. The abilities of Mr. McGlashan as historian were carried on by another dauther, Mrs. Bliss Hinkle, who continued his work of research into the early West and has written several books.
