"Mrs. Brooksie Collins - Mrs. Brooksie Trezevant Smith Collins, 77, the oldest living member of a historic Dallas family and a former resident of the Melrose Hotel, died here Sunday. She was the niece of Col. J.T. Trezevant who founded Trezevant & Cochran, the oldest insurance firm in Dallas. Graveside services and burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Grove Hill Memorial Park. Born in Little Rock, Ark., Mrs. Collins lived in Dallas as a young lady and was presented to Dallas society by the Idlewild. She lived in Boston from 1912 to 1942, where the father of her husband, Paul A. Collins, was mayor. She attended Miss Cowart's School for Girls in Dallas and Mrs. D'Jarnett's Finishing School in New York City. Survivors: Three nieces, Mrs. J. Bruce Collier, Mrs. Charles M. Patrick and Mrs. Lila Smith McAnally of Dallas, and a nephew, Sam O. Smith Jr. of West Palm Beach, Fla."
