George LeDoux, Age 81, passed away in Santa Fe on July 25, 2008. He is preceded in death by grandparents Phillipe and Josefita Cruz- Vigil; parents, Julian N. LeDoux and wife Celia L. Vigil-LeDoux; and aunt, Mercy Vigil-Struck all of Los Córdovas, NM.
George was born in Ft. Collins, CO. He married Justina Martínez-LeDoux on May 20, 1950 in Ranchos de Taos, NM. He was a builder/carpenter from 1947 to 1987. George was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Taos where he served as a Eucharist minister and Majordomo.
He served in WWII in the 67th Infantry as a rifleman and was awarded the Army of Occupation Medal and WWII Victory Medal. He was a lifetime member of the VFW.
He is survived by his wife, Justina LeDoux; brothers, Richard LeDoux and family of Albuquerque, Johnnie LeDoux and family of Cimarrón, NM; sons, Phil LeDoux (Vickie) of Río Rancho, Tomas LeDoux of Santa Fe, Mike LeDoux (Laurel) of Ratón; daughterin- law, Berlinda LeDoux of Santa Fe; grandsons: Dominic LeDoux (Jeanette) of Albuquerque, Justin LeDoux (Alicia), Kevin LeDoux, Chuck LeDoux and Lucas LeDoux; granddaughter, Marie LeDoux; great granddaughters, Adrianna and Angélica LeDoux; great grandsons: Santiago, Sebastian, Sage, and Sheldon.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, July 31, 2008 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Berardinelli Family Chapel. Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. that evening at Santa María de la Paz. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 1, 2008, noon at Santa María de la Paz Catholic Community.
Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery followed by a reception at Santa María de la Paz Parish Hall. Arrangements made by Berardinelli Family Furneral Service.
