Ed C. Hunter 72, Galesburg, died at 6:30 AM Sunday, May 20, 2007 in Heartland Health Care Center. He was born November 27, 1934 in Galesburg, the son of Theodore Clive and Lucille C. Bryant Hunter. He is survived by a special friend, Pat Patch, Galesburg, his mother, Lucille C. Hunter, Galesburg, a step son, Doug Bass, Fulton, IL, a brother, Ted L. (and Nancy) Hunter, Rio, IL, a sister, Joyce L. (and Tom) Peterson, Chetek, WI, 3 nephews, and a niece. He was preceded in death by his father. He was a tool and die maker at the former Admiral Corporation for 50 years. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1952 and had lived here all of his life. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army. Funeral will be 1:30 PM Thursday in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. The Rev. Daniel Siems will officiate. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Rites by Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post 285.
