During World War I he served in France with the 147th Engineers. He was of the Methodist faith and a member of Lakemont American Legion Post and the Altoona Eagles.
Surviving are his wife, the former Marian Funk, and four brothers and three sisters, Samuel,Merle, Francis, Clyde, Mrs. Catherine Ostrander and Mrs. Mary Grau of Altoona and Mrs. Laura Burket of Claysburg.
Friends will be received at the Laughlin Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Friday. Interment Carson Valley Cemetery.
