Ed Maxwell, Former Carroll County Man, Succumbs in Georgia
DELPHI - Mr. and Mrs. Lee Maxwell, of Delphi, have returned home from Augusta, Ga. where they attended funeral services for Edwin Maxwell, 72, brother of Mr. Maxwell.
Maxwell died of a heart attack on Jan. 18. Burial was made at Augusta.
Born in East Lynn, Illinois, he was the son of Wesley T. and Mary Moore Maxwell. He moved with his parents to a farm near Delphi in 1895.
He taught school in Camden, Jefferson and Tippecanoe townships. He attended Delphi highschool, Greer College at Hoopston, Ill, Tri-State College at Angola, Indiana University and Tulane University.
Survivors include three brothers; Guy of Lafayette and Lee and Dale of Delphi. A brother, Moore, preceded him in death.
Mr. and Mrs. Gene Maxwell and Robert Maxwell, all of near Delphi, also attended the funeral.
