"Carrie Mozelle Bush, 79, was former 4-H leader; rites Monday - Carrie Mozelle Bush, 79, of John Bart Road, Lebanon, died Thursday morning at the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida, where she had been a patient one week following a heart attack. She had resided most of her life in Boone County [Indiana] and attended Lebanon High School. She was a Bell Telephone operator in her early years. She also had been very active in 4-H work, serving as a leader for several years In the 1950s, influencing the lives of many with her teachings, enthusiasm and guidance. Mrs. Bush also enjoyed and took great pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was interested in their activities. She was a member of the First Unite Presbyterian Church and active in the home economics Extension program, currently a member of the Harrison Township Club. She was the daughter of Launcie and Mary Jane (Smith) Newkirk, born 09-Apr-1906. She was married 28-Aug-1926 in Lebanon to Raymond Clare Bush, who died 13-Dec-1967. She is survived by a son James E. Bush of rural Lebanon; a daughter Mrs. Ed (Judy) Rice of rural Jamestown; a brother John Newkirk of Dover, New Jersey; sisters Marguerite Spear of Frankfort and Alberta Martin of Mulberry; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services are to be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Russell and Hitch Funeral Home with Dr. R. Bruce Meyer officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home beginning 11 a.m. Sunday."

"Carrie Mozelle Bush, 79, Lebanon, died at 7:30 a.m. March 6, 1986, in Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, Tallahassee, Fla.

Mrs. Bush farmed with her husband in Boone County. She was a 4-H leader several years during the 1950s and was a member of the Lebanon First United Presbyterian Church and the Harrison Township Home Extension Club.

She was born April 9, 1906, to Launcie and Mary Jane Smith Newkirk. She married Raymond Clare Bush on Aug. 28, 1926, and he died in December 1967.

Surviving are a son, James E. of rural Lebanon; a daughter, Mrs. Ed (Judy) Rice of rural Jamestown; two sisters, Marguerite Spear of Frankfort and Alberta Martin of Mulberry; a brother, John Newkirk of Dover, N.J.; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Russell and Hitch Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lebanon. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Sunday."
