Adele is the daughter, and youngest child, of Cassie M. Ayers of Buckingham County, Virginia. Adele received her primary education in Virginia, and joined the Mourning Valley Church of God in Christ, before moving to Baltimore, Maryland. She enjoyed music, decorating and spending time with her grandchildren. Adele met many friends in her lifetime, and she had a loving spirit. She was employed by Western Star Restaurants and in the nursing industry. When her health failed, Adele returned to Virginia to be with family and remained until relocating to Georgia before her passing.

When we drove to VA to bring her closer to us, we had no idea that she would be gone in less than two years. Time robbed us of more chances to sit on the porch, watch sunsets and go to Subway to get those favorite sub sandwiches. Perhaps we'll see you on that other shore. I know you're with grandma Cassie, that's why I put her picture on the page underneath yours. We miss you to the ends of the Earth. Adele is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Percy Ayres, Rose Mae Toney and Virginia Jackson.

She leaves to cherish her memories one wonderful son, a devoted daughter-in-law, one faithful grandson and two loving granddaughters; sisters, Fancy Ayres Gaugh, Betty Ayers and Lucinda Taylor; brothers, William Ayers, Thomas Ayers, Roosevelt Ayers and Clifford Ayers, all of Dillwyn, Virginia. Haugabrooks FH.

They say time can heal all wounds, but I don't know. Your only son misses you.

A big hug, and many thanks to you, Michael for sponsoring this memorial.

(Note: Aunt Lucinda and Aunt Betty passed away a few years later.)
