James Ernest Rice, 90, died Thursday, April 27, 1995, at his home.
His funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Herman Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Grover Holder officiating and burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Franklin County, Va..
Ernest was a son of the late T.E. and Anna Lawrence Rice and had lived in the Mt. Herman Church community for most of his life.
He was a retired employee of American Tobacco Company and was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma B. Rice.
