DEATH OF MRS. BRAUGHT

She Dies at Her home in North Middleton After a Brief Illness.

Mrs. Amanda Braught, widow of the late Moses Braught, died at her home in North Middleton township, five miles north of Carlisle, at 5 p.m., yesterday aged about 63 years. She had been taken sick in Carlisle two years ago and never fully recovered but her final illness was of only a few days' duration.

He (sic) maiden name was James and her brother, Thomas James of Carlisle, is the only surviving member of the family. Her husband died about twenty-five years ago. She was an esteemed member of the Reformed church at Carlisle Springs. Six children survive: Mrs. Emma Hollenbaugh of North Middleton; Samuel, who resides on the homestead; Mos of Carlisle; William W., the Carlisle grocer, George, of near Carlisle, and John D., the painter.

The funeral will take place on Friday at 10 a.m., services at the Carlisle Springs church. All relatives and friends are requested to attend without further notice.

Mrs. Amanda Braught, widow of the late Moses Braught, died at the residence of her son, Samuel, at the old homestead in North Middleton township four miles north of Carlisle, Tuesday at 5 o'clock. The cause of her death was an acute attack of diorrhea (sic), from which she had been suffering for only three days. Mrs. Braught had been ailing, however, for two years, Her age was 63 years. Mrs. Braught was born in Carlisle and resided within a short distance of Carlisle her entire life.

Mrs. Braught was a kind mother and neighbor and has a large number of relatives and friends who deplore her loss. She was a christian woman and was a member of the Reformed Church at Carlisle Springs. One daughter and four sons survive her. Mrs. Emma Hollenbaugh, of North Middleton township, Samuel Braught, of North Middleton township, Moses, W. W. and John Braught, of Carlisle and George, of Silver Spring township. The funeral will take place on Friday morning at ten o'clock. Interment at the Carlisle Springs church. Friends and relatives are invited to attend without further notice.

The Braught Funeral.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Moses Braught took place from the Reformed church at Carlisle Springs, yesterday. Rev. Groh officiated and the pall-bearers were David Brindle, George Jacobs, John Shetron and Emanuel Shearer.
