Mary Isabel (Hamilton) Benham was the daughter of John Wesley and Susanna (Bower) Hamilton. She was the 1st wife of Rev. James Vincent Benham. They were married January 1, 1863. He was a minister in the Oneida Conference, Central New York Conference, East Genesee Conference and Genesee Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
