Funeral services for Ada E. McElwee, 89, of Urbana, will be at 2 pm Sunday at Renner-Wikoff Chapel of Urbana. The Rev. Terry Bradds will officiate. Burial will be Fairfield Cemetery, Newman. Visitation will be for one hour before the services Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. McElwee died at 7:20 am Wednesday, Aug. 10, 1994, at the Urbana Nursing Home, Urbana. She was born May 30, 1905 at Longview, a daughter of Benjamin and Emma Reese Paine. She married Raymond McElwee in 1950 at Urbana. He died Jan. 12, 1980. Survivors include a stepson, Stanley Towner of Sidney; two step-grandchildren; and a sister Eva Bolinger of Urbana. She was preceded in death by a brother. Mrs. McElwee was a retired salesclerk for Scott's dime store at Lincoln Square, Urbana. She was a member of the Webber Street Church of Christ, Urbana and was active in senior citizens' organizations in Champaign-Urbana.
