She was married on 6 Jan 1812 in Buckfield, Oxford County, Maine by Isaac Sturtevant to John Thayer (1788-1853) who is buried in Prince Cemetery in Buckfield, Oxford County, Maine. They had three sons: George Washington Thayer , John Greenleaf Thayer & Isaac Hersey Thayer. Susan died in 1880 and is buried with her son, Isaac Hersey Thayer.
