Mrs. stallbaumer started farming west of St. Benedict, he laster ran a dairy and livestock operation south of St. Benedict from 1944 until 1973 when he retired and moved into Seneca. He later helped at Kuckelman Implement assembling machinery and helped at Heinen Farm Supply Store.
He was born January 19, 1908, southwest of St. Benedict, the son of George and Elizabeth Engelken Stallbaumer.
Mr. Stallbaumer was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the St. Joseph Society in Seneca. He was a former member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Benedict. He was Richmond Township clerk for several years.
He was married to Frances Wessel on February 27, 1935, in St. Benedict. She survives.
Other survivors include five daughters; Janice Haverkamp, Bern, KS; Marceil Dressman and Sue Spielman, both of Seneca; Carol Keegan, Pawnee City, NE; and Sister Rose Marie Stallbaumer, OSB, Atchison, KS; two sons, Charles Stallbaumer, Centralia; and Dennis Stallbaumer, Seneca; two sisters, Leona Nolte, Atchison, KS; and Rita Broxterman, Seneca; two brothers, Raymond Stallbaumer and Emmett Stallbaumer, both of Seneca; 23 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Minnie Haug and Cora Hammes; four brothers, Cletus Stallbaumer, Alfred Stallbaumer, Adrian Stallbaumer and Hubert Stallbaumer.
Funeral services were held at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Seneca, KS. Burial was in the church cemetery.
