Funeral Hour Set for Charles King

GREENWOOD – Funeral services for Charles G. King, life-long resident of Johnson county, have been arranged for Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 and will be in the Burkhart Funeral Home… burial will be in the Second Mt. Pleasant cemetery…
Mr. King died at 8:25 Saturday night at the home of his daughter following an extended illness. He was born April 18, 1875 in Clark township, and his parents were the late Henry and Minerva A. Terhune King.
He was married to Christina Boucher, July 17, 1899, in Franklin and six children were born to this couple. Mrs. King died Dec. 7, 1955. Mr. King had been a farmer until his health failed and since then made his home with the daughter, Mrs. Ralph McClain, in Greenwood.
She survives with four sons…Also remaining are nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Miller, of Gravette, Ark.
