Son of Tyler Francis Ayres and Mary Fowler. Herbert was married 4 times, his 1st was probably annulled & 2nd was a divorce, he only had children with his 3rd & 4th wives, Florence Gertrude Sawdy & Alta Ruth Bateman. Florence was killed along with their daughter Norma in a wagon accident in 1912. He then m. Alta who raised his 2 sons from Florence & they also had 5 children which included a set of twin boys of which my father-in-law is the oldest of the twins. Herbert was 60 years old at the time of the twins birth, but they are not the youngest for their is one more son born in 1930.
